French operator Bouygues Telecom has selected Cognacq-Jay Image, a TDF Media Services company, to launch a complete OTT service.
Subscribers will soon be able to access a multiscreen experience with more than 200 SD channels, ten HD channels available on the Bbox (IPTV) and about 60 TV channels available on tablets and smartphones (OTT).
This service is fully hosted and monitored in the Cognacq-Jay Image's OTT platform, which daily manages live recording, encoding and delivery of over 2,000 TV streams.
"Our strategy is to differentiate from our competitors thanks to the user experience and the quality of our service. Thanks to the quality and coverage of our 4G network, our subscribers have access to a full 'TV everywhere' user experience with the best video quality possible. The expertise of the Cognacq-Jay Image engineering team has been greatly valuable as it encompassed broadband technology on every screen," says Franck Abihssira, head of fixed services and content division, Bouygues Telecom.
