German media authority Medienanstalt Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein (MA HSH) has initiated a tender for the allocation of two slots for digital terrestrial television (DTT) in Hamburg.
The capacity is for two 24-hour services on the DTT channels K36 und K46. The slots are open for usage by commercial broadcasters from 1 January 2014. The permissions will be granted for up to ten years. The deadline for interested parties to submit their applications is 2pm CET on 11 October 2013.
This capacity hasn't newly been created, as MA HSH spokeswoman Leslie Middelmann told Rapid TV News. The two slots became vacant because the home-shopping broadcaster Channel 21 has handed back its capacity on K36, and music channel iM1 doesn't use its slot on K46.
