Euronews has signed an agreement with Canadian Cable System Alliance (CCSA), the Canadian cable operators association, increasing its opportunities for distribution.

CCSA comprises more than 100 cable operators and distributes over 200 channels all around the country.

Through this agreement, all members of CCSA can broadcast Euronews, and this potentially represents 900,000 new households.

Available in Canada since 2003, Euronews was recently launched on Eastlink in 2012, following CableCable and CoopTel in 2009.

The channel is currently distributed via cable operators and ADSL/IPTV platforms including Rogers, Cogeco, Videotron, Telus and Ethnic Channel, and reaches 151,000 households.
