Dedicated to classical music, jazz and ballet dancing, Lagardère Active's Mezzo offer, made up of Mezzo and Mezzo Live HD, will be enriched in January with Mezzo Live HD Asia.
Mezzo Live HD Asia will be adapted to the tastes of the Asian local market, focusing on jazz and symphonic music, Lagardère Active said at a press conference.
Carried by GlobeCast, the new channel will cover all of Asia in addition to Australia and New Zealand.
Currently, Mezzo and Mezzo Live HD are distributed to 21 million pay-TV subs across 43 countries, offer 350 hours of programmes each year and boast a VOD catalogue of 600 hours in HD.
Available in France on Numericable and PluzzVaD (France Télévisions), the VOD catalogue is set to extend internationally on Digital+ in Spain, Kabel Deutschland in Germany and Digiturk in Turkey.
