SPI unveils Filmbox Live 2.0

Promising new channels, new features and a totally new experience, SPI International has launched an updated version of its Filmbox Live infrastructure for online video, Smart TV, tablets and smartphones.

The global TV broadcast company and supplier of theatrical and television content says that the new version 2.0 with its new user interface and additional features makes it easy for users to watch multiple Filmbox Live channels and enjoy a VOD library including not only films but MMA fight videos, fashion shows and documentaries.

SPI International has been a supplier of theatrical films and television programming for over twenty years and has content alliances with companies such as Focus Features, The Weinstein Company, Summit Entertainment, Studio Canal, Pathé, Lakeshore Entertainment, Wild Bunch, BBC, ITV, Beta, Freemantle Corp., and Tandem.

Filmbox Live 2.0 has three new channels comprise 360TuneBox, Filmbox Arthouse, and Fast&Funbox HD. Broadcasting 24/7, 360TuneBox aims to address fans whose musical interests are said to go beyond the mainstream and will offer a large variety of music videos by the breakthrough and emerging artists from all over the world. The new music channel offers a true variety of musical genres, from rock to dance, urban hip-hop to pop, indie rock to electronica among many others.

Filmbox Arthouse is said to be the first worldwide movie channel featuring artistic and independent films from all over the globe. It offers independent and art films with new films from best known festivals such as Sundance, Rotterdam, Venice, Berlin etc. The current library consists of 300+ titles and many first and second feature movies from up-and-coming directors will also be available including documentaries, classics and new releases.

By some contrast, Fast&Funbox HD is “an action packed, adrenaline inducing medley of extreme sports” featuring car racing, motocross, surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding, bouldering, BMX, FMX, skydiving, skiing, free running, base jumping.

Visual quality of this and all content can be set automatically according to user’s internet speed and the devices used. Users can watch all films, videos and live channels in real time without interruption, and they can create their favourite playlist, and access the playlists from any device anytime. They can also pause content where they have left off and resume watching on a different device.
