Atlantyca Entertainment will distribute the Giant Wheel Animation series Taka & Maka to Europe and the Americas for the next three years.
The agreement was announced by the Anglo-Indian company, which has produced the 40 episodes of the series. Atlantyca is to present the product at MIPCOM 2013.
The animated series, which was co-produced with French company TikTak Production and directed by Ulrich Boyer's Techtonik Productions, tells of the adventures of two adorable but mischievous geckos.
"We are excited to work with Atlantyca; they have great experience in the international distribution of animated series and we are confident that their contribution will be crucial for the success of the show," said Soumyashree Mohapatra, creative director at Giant Wheel.
"The collaboration with Giant Wheel Animation is a special occasion to represent a unique product in key markets," said Pedro Citaristi, distribution manager at Atlantyca.
The producers are expecting Taka & Maka to become a successful property during MIPCOM.
Giant Wheel Animation features designers and animators with years of experience in the development of animated series and feature films. The English section develops unpublished IP and specialises in the design of characters and storyboarding, while the Indian section specialises in servicing, both for Giant Wheel and other customers.
