Fox Sports is to exclusively broadcast Bellator martial art content throughout Latin America after both companies signed a multi-year agreement to bring the programming to a potential audience of over 50 million households.
After UFC's success and its quick expansion throughout Latin America's pay-TV, Bellator, which is considered the second most popular martial art, also intends to grow internationally. Fox will start broadcasting some content in October, mostly previous competition events. From 2015, the sports channel will schedule over 25 live battles per year as well as in-territory live events. The content will also be broadcast through the online platform Fox Sports Play.

“FOX Sports Latin America has been looking for the premier mixed martial arts organisation to partner with, and Bellator is the perfect fit,” said Carlos Martinez, president of FOXm International Channels Latin America. “We are also going to produce large-scale
Bellator events throughout Latin America and produce reality shows in key territories”.

The partnership is expected to continue, and for Bellator a new window on a huge market is being opened.

“We’ve now taken a step forward in the evolution of the global brand and FOX Sports Latin America’s largest sports network, is the perfect fit for Bellator in this vital region” said Bjorn Rebney Bellator's CEO.
