PeerApp is top of the heap for content caching

PeerApp, a specialist in content caching and delivery, has been designated by Frost & Sullivan as the 2013 global transparent caching market leader, with more than 350 mobile and fixed network operator customers and a 27% market share.
"The company is witnessing continuous growth in revenue on the strength of its solutions within major service provider networks, and its status in the industry is augmented by the fact that the company is at the forefront of innovation and development in this industry," reads Frost and Sullivan's 2013 Market Leader Profile. "PeerApp has a global footprint and is well known in established, as well as upcoming, regional segments of the global transparent caching market."
The study goes on to note that PeerApp is leveraging its wide acceptance and footprint toward new innovations like Content Service Extension (CSE), an open initiative that allows operators to monetise over-the-top (OTT) content delivery by utilising network caches on an infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) basis. In the recent iOS 7 update, PeerApp cached accelerated downloads for more than ten million users worldwide within the first 24 hours of its release.
