Telemundo turns in double-digit ratings growth in October

During October, local broadcasts of Telemundo Media's original productions delivered strong performances for Telemundo Station Group in local markets, according to Nielsen data, driving double-digit viewership growth in several markets.
For one, Lo Mejor de Caso Cerrado outranked English and Spanish-language TV stations to become the No 1 programme in its time period among adults 18- 49 in Miami, No 2 in Houston and No 3 in Chicago. Among the same key demo, Caso Cerrado was the second most-watched show in its time period in New York and Miami, and was the No 1 Spanish-language programme in its time period among adults 18-49 in Chicago.
Also in Miami, Noticiero Telemundo 51 and Santa Diabla (Broken Angel), the steamy telenovela starring Gaby Espino, Aaron Diaz, and singing sensation and actor Carlos Ponce, were the most-watched programmes across all stations among adults 18-49.
The Noticiero Telemundo 51 evening news broadcast continued to out-deliver all other local stations to position itself as the most-watched late evening local newscast in its time period, regardless of language, among adults 18-49 for the seventh consecutive month.
Also, in the early fringe time slot, Telemundo KDEN in Denver was the No 1 Spanish-language station among adults 18-49.
Audience growth is continuing during the daytime slot; Telemundo stations delivered good year-to-year growth in Dallas (up 204%), Houston (53%), Los Angeles (50%), Chicago (42%) and Miami (39%). In early fringe, Telemundo stations delivered double-digit, year-to-year growth in Los Angeles (73%), Dallas (45%), Phoenix (37%), Houston (19%) and Chicago (16%). In prime time, Telemundo stations also experienced significant year-to-year gains in Dallas (+83%), Los Angeles (+18%), Miami (+16%) and Chicago (10%).
