Fans have spoken on the Univision social TV platform, tlnovelas, and requested La Madrastra (The Stepmother) be re-broadcast. So, on 18 November, the company will air the series once again for Hispanic audiences in the US and Latin America.

The soap opera was a massive hit during its first run on the Univision Network in 2005 and will now return thanks to the social TV interaction between viewers and channel.

La Madrasta will premiere on Univision tlenovelas, the social TV and online platform for soap opera fans. The Televisa series, produced by Salvador Mejía, ranks No 7 among Univision's top 100 soap operas of all time and was nominated for 14 Premios TVyNovelas awards in 2006, winning two.

The series tells the story of a woman who is wrongly convicted for her friend's murder. After 20 years in jail, she returns to Mexico City to find the identity of the real killer. The award-winning production has a cast full of soap opera stars including Victoria Ruffo, César Evora and Jacqueline Andere.

Univision is to broadcast a new chapter every day, with omnibuses of the weekly episodes airing during weekends. Univision tlnovelas aims to satisfy the demand for soap operas among Hispanic audiences, delivering a mix of top-rated recent and past productions.

Tlnovelas was launched in the US on February 2012 and is currently available on DISH for DishLATINO, DirecTV, Verizon FiOS to AT&T U-verse customers in the US and Puerto Rico, as well as select Cablevision, Cox Communications and Time Warner Cable service areas.
