Attributing its new offering with being a Netflix-like white-label product, Kaltura has launched a new multiscreen over the top (OTT) video portal.

In essence the new Kaltura MediaGo is designed to allow content owners and service providers to publish, manage and monetise premium content across multiple screens via subscriptions as well as advertising.

Key features of the product which is said to be already being deployed by several global media companies include customisable components to fine-tune the service, the subscriptions, or the interface; support for PC, iOS/Android mobile devices, selected OTT/TV platforms; content discovery including browse, search and related content; content galleries and playlists which can be genre-based, rule-based or from editors' picks; personalised experiences; media preparation and operation such as ingestion, transcoding, DRM, hosting and delivery.

"Today's viewers are light years ahead of where they were just a few years ago. They consume content from a variety of sources and on multiple devices, at home and on the go. Media companies are faced with the challenge and opportunity of adjusting to this new digital world," said Ron Yekutiel, Kaltura Chairman and CEO. "Working closely with some of the world's leading media companies, Kaltura identified the need for an out-of-the-box media application that makes paid OTT delivery simple and seamless."
