Pan-Arab pay-TV network OSN is extending its content licensing arrangements with NBCUniversal (NBCU) in a new multi-year deal.

As a result, OSN subscribers will be able to view Hollywood blockbusters such as Les Misérables, Despicable Me 2, Fast & Furious 6, Oblivion and 47 Ronin. NBCU TV series such as Downton Abbey, Chicago Fire, Grimm, Bates Motel, and Dracula, plus talk shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and NBC Nightly News will also now be exclusive to OSN in the region.

"We are delighted to extend our long-standing relationship with NBCUniversal. This partnership is key to our strategy of providing viewers a diverse range of world class original and premium content before anyone else in the region," said David Butorac, CEO, OSN.

In a separate extension deal, OSN has also secured future exclusivity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to E! Entertainment Television.

Both NBCU and E! content will be available on OSN's linear channels and via its high definition (HD) on-demand service.
