Atlantic Broadband debuts TiVo in Miami

Atlantic Broadband's TiVo-powered multiscreen digital entertainment service is debuting in the Miami area.

The coverage area includes Miami, Bal Harbor, Bay Harbor Islands, Golden Beach, Miami Beach, North Bay Village, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach and Surfside, and partially served areas such as Aventura and Pinecrest.

The service offers enhanced options for live, recorded and on-demand television and Web content across screens, offered as part of the cable MSO's triple-play service.

TiVo's T6 platform can record up to six shows at once, store up to 1,000 shows and can deliver full DVR service (such as pause and rewind) on every TV in the home. A 'What to Watch Now' menu provides shortcuts to popular TV shows, movies, and live sporting events currently playing. TiVo also proactively records suggested programmes.

Also, live TV can be streamed to tablets and smartphones anywhere at home; customers can also download their favourite shows and view them wherever they want.

WishList searches let TiVo will constantly scour millions of choices and automatically record when it matches the actor, subject or favourite team users are looking for.

It also includes over-the-top (OTT) apps like Pandora, YouTube, Picasa and AOL ON.
