Canal+'s film & TV co-production and distribution subsidiary StudioCanal has selected Technicolor's platform to serve as the exclusive supplier of digital asset management services for its theatre and home entertainment releases.
StudioCanal will introduce Technicolor digital asset management solution initially in France and then roll out to other territories including the UK, Germany and Australia.
The cloud-based platform will allow StudioCanal and its global content affiliates to order, track, store and deliver all of their theatrical, broadcast, home entertainment and VOD/EST deliverables.
Technicolor's portal centralises distribution modules while providing content security. The platform provides users with complete control and offers on-demand access to their content, anytime and anywhere.
Authorised users can instantly connect and interact with it from virtually any device: PC and Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android.
"Over the last few years StudioCanal has experienced a tremendous growth, substantially increased the reach of its distribution network, the profile of its international productions both in films and TV series, and positioned itself as genuine European Studio. To sustain our growth, seize new opportunities and improve our efficiency and the quality of our service, we had to reconsider our digital supply chain, and we are thrilled to work with Technicolor on this new project," Romain Bessi, EVP strategy, finance & operations at StudioCanal said.
