Deutsche Telekom's IPTV platform Entertain is now also available on smartphones, with Entertain to go initially launching on Apple's iPhone. Smartphones and tablets with Google's Android operating system will follow in December 2013.

With Entertain to go, which launched in July 2013 on PCs, laptops and the iPad, customers can receive around 40 TV channels wirelessly at home through their local Wi-Fi network including ARD, ZDF, RTL, Sat.1 and ProSieben. The online video library provides them with movies, series and other content if they are outside the reach of their Wi-Fi network.

Entertain to go can now be downloaded for the iPhone at the Apple app store (for iPhone 4 onwards with iOS 5 or higher). Users of an Android smartphone or tablet with software version 3 onwards can download the app at the Google Play store from December. Usage is free of charge for the first month and costs an additional €4.95 fee per month on top of the regular Entertain subscription after this
