Zodiak snaps up rights for SuBo documentary

The international division of Zodiak Media, Zodiak Rights, is dreaming a dream of fast returns after acquiring distribution rights to the brand new documentary There's Something About Susan.
Produced by Firecracker Films for ITV1, where it will air in early December 2013, the one-hour special features the singer who rocketed to almost overnight fame following an audition for Britain's Got Talent in from of legendary arch critic Simon Cowell. Despite selling over 20 million records and performing in from of Pope Benedict, Boyle has suffered from anxiety her entire life and, despite her fame, she has never felt able to tour until recently.
There's Something About Susan shows how Boyle fared embarking on her first ever series of live solo concerts culminating in a sell-out concert in America in front of 20,000 fans. It is a follow-up to the first documentary Susan Boyle: An Unlikely Superstar, which originally aired on ITV1 in November 2011 and attracted 5.8 million viewers, making it one of the highest-rated documentaries in recent years. Zodiak Rights has since sold the film to 88 countries around the world.
