Chello Multicanal triumphs at South Africa's PromaxBDA awards

Spain's Chello Multicanal has won four prizes at South Africa's PromaxBDA awards - which recognise the best design, marketing and promotional campaigns within the international TV scene - which were held in Johannesburg last weekend.
The pay-TV channels Sol Música and XTRM both won the Best Channel Brand prize - gold for the music channel and silver for the series and film channel. In addition, Sol Música won silver for Best On-Air Branding Design and XTRM received gold for the Best TV Campaign for its The Toughest Logo in the World promotion of its new image.
According to the production company, both channels have been recently restyled in collaboration with Lumbre Studios. The design effort has been doubly rewarded at Promax, it being the first time that the organisation has given the Best Channel Brand prizes to the same company.
The PromaxBDA awards also recognise marketing strategies in the TV industry. During the 2013 event, BBC, NBC, Sony and Viacom International were among those awarded.
