Kino Polska acquires Filmbox International

FilmBox art workKino Polska S.A. has completed a deal to acquire Filmbox International Ltd, a UK-based company in the SPI International Group that is the official owner of pay-TV channels from the Filmbox brand.
According to B Kisielewski, Kino Polska’s general director, the market value of the transaction is – at today’s (November 29) stock price – $55 million (€13.08 million).
Oblio International B.V is the largest shareholder in Kino Polska, with both a stake and voting rights of over 50%.
It is a manufacturer of Oblio tablets and electronic gear and fully controlled by SPI International.
The deal encompasses the production and distribution of FilmBox channels both in the CEE region and the rest of the world.
