French cable operator Numericable has concluded a MVNO agreement with SFR (Vivendi) to offer 4G to its mobile customers as of Q1 2014, according to local reports.

Numericable already relies on Bouygues' network to offer 2G and 3G mobile services to its fixed telephony subscribers.

Such agreements allow the operator to line up quadruple play services that include Internet, fixed and mobile telephony as well as television.

Numericable has recently succeeded in its IPO, and many analysts see this agreement as a first step towards a merger with SFR.
