Multimedia studio Electus has named Jessica Sebastian as the company's first vice president of unscripted television.

Sebastian, who was previously senior director of development at the Style Network, started on 25 November. As vice president of unscripted television, Sebastian's hire marks Electus' continued expansion in the category, as well as growth across its business. In her new role Sebastian will develop, direct and produce projects, from pitch to series.

"Jessica has a unique and varied skill set. She has been a producer, a developer and a buyer, plus she has amazing relationships with some of the most influential brands in the industry," said executive vice president of unscripted television Corie Henson. "Jessica will be integral as Electus ramps up internal development and continues to build our unscripted business."

Before joining Electus, Sebastian was a creative force behind a number of high profile shows, including Rihanna's fashion competition series Styled to Rock, while senior director at Style Network. Prior to that, she served as vice president of development at Original Media where she was a show-runner for Bravo's The Rachel Zoe Project, in addition to serving as executive producer on Be Good Johnny Weir and the UK version of The Soup. Sebastian was also a director and producer on shows ranging from Wife Swap to What Not To Wear as well as MADE and Moving Up.

"Electus' track record of programming has put it in its own category," said Sebastian. "This position will challenge me to use all of the skills and experience I've built over nearly 15 years of working in TV."
