Sat.1 to show Super Bowl in 2014 and 2015

The Super Bowl is to remain on Sat.1, with the German commercial free-to-air channel taking the American Football final game to German TV screens in 2014 and 2015.

The contract with NFL rights dealer IMG includes the live transmission on television and the Internet as a live stream on Sat.1's sports website ran. Sat.1 will also report from the NFL Playoffs.

The Super Bowl XLVIII will take place on 2 February 2014 in the MetLife stadium in East Rutherford (New Jersey), home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets. R&B singer and Grammy winner Bruno Mars will perform in the half-time show.
