Disney has acquired the rights to any future Indiana Jones films from Paramount Pictures, which released the first four movies.
Paramount will retain distribution rights for the first four films, which starred Harrison Ford as a hero archaeologist: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Disney has not yet announced plans for a fifth Indiana Jones movie, but Paramount will receive an undisclosed share of the proceeds from any future films.
