The UEFA Champions League will remain at Sky Deutschland following the German pay-TV operator's acquisition of the German broadcast rights for the 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons.
Including the UEFA Super Cup, Sky will screen 146 live matches, 128 of them exclusively, from the play-offs to the final game. Subscribers will be able to watch the games both individually and as a multi-match conference.
The rights package, the financial details of which have not been disclosed, covers all distribution platforms including HDTV. Viewers will therefore not only be able to watch the coverage on their TV sets, but also through Sky Go on the Internet, with the iPhone or iPad on 3G and Wi-Fi networks and on the Xbox 360.
