DMX Media and Equitel have brokered a deal to bring DMX's audio channels to Punta Cable, Uruguay's pay-TV operator, giving subscribers access to 50 music channels on their screens.

DMX's portfolio for the pay-TV platform comprises various styles from jazz to rock and new wave. The multi-platform offer gives subscribers easy access to professional channels for a wide range of audiences.

"Through this agreement, DMX can continue increasing its presence in Latin America, reaffirming its position as a strategic partner for pay-TV operators," commented Alejandro Cacciola, DMX Media manager.

The platform's catalogue offers operators the tools they need to bring personalised music services to subscribers, with a high added value. The channels are available in linear as well as through DMX2GO, a multi-platform tool which gives audiences immediate access to music on different screens. DMX2GO can also be used by Punta Cable for the distribution of channels via the Internet.

DMX Media, which is owned by Mood Media, leads music content development and distribution in Latin America and the Caribbean. The company offers over 100 digital music channels, currently available to seven million users.
