French pay-TV group Canal+ has introduced MyCanal, a unique platform which aims to facilitate access to the group's second-screen offering for subscribers to Canal+ channels and the Canalsat bouquet.
The portal offers live access from any computer, smartphone or tablet, to all Canal+ channels and nearly 130 Canalsat channels as well as almost 4,000 on-demand programmes.
A TV guide and Eureka recommendation engine add additional services such as content personalisation.
Most of the programmes available in multiple languages on TV will offer the same feature on other screens.
Viewers will now be able to use the mobile and tablet application to manage the decoder using the remote control function.
From Q1 2014, the portal will be enriched with a download option for on-demand programmes, enabling users to watch offline and also schedule remote recording.
