End-to-end multiscreen TV delivery technology firm S3 Group has closed its financial 2013 with a 25% increase in revenue.
Revealing the drivers for growth, S3 Group noted that it had recorded particularly strong revenue growth from the video service provider sector buoyed by the roll-out of new TV platforms, demand for multiscreen services, and a number of significant multi-year managed service agreements. New customers and contract expansions during the year included: Astro, BSkyB, UPC cablecom, RDK Management LLC, Sky Deutschland and Tele Columbus.
In the multiscreen test automation arena, the company said that its StormTest platform continued to enjoy strong growth adding new Tier-1 video service provider customer. This included a number of test automation product firsts including: first to market with 16-channel HD image handling, and scalability for large-scale stress testing.
The company also noted that its end-to end system integration practice, covering head-end through to CPE, had seen significant growth throughout the year, with its operator customers moving forward with the development of their next-generation video delivery platform architectures. S3 Group’s architects and programme managers have been providing consultancy on a range of projects including the roll out of network DVR platforms, cloud-hosted user interfaces and gateway-client CPE architectures.
