The blinkx video search engine has announced a partnership with REV New Media to offer blinkx users professional sports clips and cooking tips with the Fumble and the Savory channels. Leveraging its AdHoc platform, blinkx will place contextually relevant advertising against those videos and share resulting revenue with REV New Media.

With the two new channels, blinkx viewers will be prepped for everything from Super Bowl predictions to holiday party appetisers. The two channels join three existing REV New Media channels on hot celebrity gossip in Hollyscoop, trendy style tips in ModaMob and catchy music news in Stereotude.

"Sports and recipe clips are consistently popular on blinkx, particularly throughout the football and food-heavy holiday season," said Dan Slivjanovski, SVP and CMO of blinkx. "This partnership with REV New Media, a producer of high quality content for a wide array of lifestyles and interests, allows us to provide our users with expert and up-to-date videos, whether they're happiest courtside or in the kitchen."

Raymond Attipa, CEO, REV New Media, added that "REV's in-house reporters and lifestyle experts bring breaking news and useful tips to millions of fans every week, but we are always looking for ways to reach new audiences. We're extremely pleased to partner with blinkx, which on top of its advanced search technology offers dedicated Sports and Food categories for immediate and easy access to these videos, to deliver our engaging original content to a brand new crowd of fans."
