German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has made its new online video library Snap available on the Apple iPhone and iPod touch, allowing users to access movies, series and children's programmes while on the go.
Snap users can choose between the German or original language version of the programmes. Many movies and series can be downloaded onto the iPhone and watched offline worldwide, for example on a train or airplane.
The content can also be watched on the TV set using the AirPlay function of the iPhone in conjunction with Apple TV.
Snap launched in December 2013, initially on PCs, laptops, iPads and connected TV sets from Samsung. Further platforms and devices will follow including the Samsung Galaxy products.
For a flat fee of €9.90 per month, Snap customers can access the whole library. The service is open to all Internet users, not just Sky subscribers.
