TV2 Norway licenses LViS for second-screen apps

Norwegian broadcaster, TV2, has signed a 12-month licence deal with Monterosa that will see its LViS Studio platform deployed to create and monetise second-screen apps.
TV2 is the largest commercial television station in Norway and has a licence to broadcast national commercial television until the end of 2015.
The LViS solution will be deployed across a range of shows from entertainment to sports for apps that will run on a variety of devices and social platforms, integrated with TV graphics. The system was first piloted to enhance TV2's coverage of the 2013 Women's World Handball Championship in December, an event in Norway that regularly draws a 49% share of viewers. Future deployments include the ability to power sponsored interactions such as Man of The Match for Premiership Football, play-along games for game shows. An integral part of the platform licence is LViS Competitions which allows the owner to offer brands the opportunity to give away products to audiences, and crucially to capture opt-in data.
