Private operators Orient Digital Media and Subisu Cable Net are competing to launch Internet protocol television (IPTV) services in Nepal, according to local reports.
The first licence to operate an IPTV service in the South Asian country was issued to Orient Digital Media eight months ago, under the condition that the company launches the service within 18 months.
Subisu hopes to receive approval soon from Nepal's Ministry of Information and Communications, and then launch its 15 channel IPTV service in March 2014, according to ekantipur.com.
