SES spreads TVE throughout Europe

SES is to bring Spain's TVE International and TVE's 24/7 channel to every corner of Europe via the satellite Astra 1M. In collaboration with Quantis, the international operator is now offering the Spanish public network to over 110 million potential viewers.
The channels are free-to-air broadcast for those homes with SES receptors, but are also now included in Europe's main pay-TV platforms, such as Canal+ in France and Sky Deutschland in Germany.
While SES transports the signal, Quantis is responsible for monitoring it, controlling the reception quality and the customer service.
"The content dissemination for large audience groups, in an immediate and efficient way, makes the satellite a safe bet for cheaper and technologically stable services," explained Luis Sánchez-Merlo, SES Astra president for the Iberian Peninsula. "TVE's agreement will also improve the bond between the large Spanish community in Europe and its own country, hopefully helping to bring new investments and strengthen Spain's productivity."
For Quantis, the agreement confirms its intention to diversify the business, focused until now on satellite Internet. "We are professionals in satellite services, which guarantees the highest quality for TVE's reception throughout Europe," said Aquilino Antuña, the company's general director.
