Multiscreen streaming service Flipps has announced a distribution partnership with independent multi-platform studio Vuguru to make two of the latter's flagship digital series available for streaming to connected TVs, set-top boxes (STBs) and gaming consoles.
Prom Queen follows the lives of the students at Edward Adams High as they struggle to find love, popularity and happiness in a place that is cursed with tragedy, obsession and jealousy.
Back on Topps meanwhile is a satirical behind-the-scenes look into one of the world's most recognisable sports companies. When The Topps Company falls into new ownership, sport-loving twin brothers and heirs to the Topps fortune, Leyland and Leif Topps must navigate the murky corporate waters of their new work environment and prove to their new boss they are valuable to the sports card world.
Flipps is available for iOS and Android devices as a mobile app that delivers over-the-top video to smart TVs via wireless Internet networks. Flipps-supported devices include Internet-connected televisions by Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, LG, and Philips, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Apple TV.
"Bringing online original programming to the connected home is a natural extension of the Flipps brand and Vuguru is a leader in the space," said Flipps CEO Kosta Jordanov. "We're excited to be the first to bring on-demand Vuguru series to the TV screen – making them backed by Tim Draper, the founder of 'viral marketing,' available and easily accessible to millions of viewers."
