Spain's Grupo V has launched its pay-TV channel Cazavisión, which shows hunting-related programmes, on several connected platforms.
From being only available on regular TV, the channel can now be received on PCs, iPhones, iPads and Samsung smart TVs.
Cazavisión is currently scheduled on the Spanish pay-TV platforms ONO and Euskaltel, and on Portugal's MEO. According to the company, the multi-device portfolio will be increased within a few weeks, adding Android devices and LG and Philips' smart TVs.
Grupo V aims to consolidate the 24/7 hunting channel for the TV everywhere and multiscreen environment. In order to attract new viewers, the channel will be broadcast free-to-air on the Internet until the end of January for those customers who registered on the channel's site.
Cazavisión first aired in 2009 on Spanish pay-TV platforms as part of a diversification strategy of Grupo V, which was traditionally focused on printed media. The company also intends to launch on new pay-TV platforms in 2014 as well as on DTT.
