More than 12 million households in Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia will this year be able to watch live action from the Super Bowl XLVIII on either Fox Sports or Fox.

The NFL's championship game will this year feature the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, with entertainment from Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It takes place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday 2 February 2014, with the live European broadcast beginning at 00.25am (CET) on Monday 3 February 2014.

It will mark the first time Fox International Channels has provided a live European broadcast of what is the highest rated and most-watched television event in the US.

The US production will feature commentary from Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, with Pam Oliver and Erin Andrews reporting from the sidelines.
