The international version of the PERETZ television channel is now available to viewers in Kyrgyzstan thanks to a tie-up between the channel's Russian owner CTC Media and local cable network Evropa-Azia.

"Expanding CTC Media channels' internationally broadcasting is part of the company's long-term strategy. Evropa-Azia already owns the rights to distribute the CTC television channel's signal in Kyrgyzstan. PERETZ is now available in the country's main cable networks and we plan on continuing to dynamically develop our technical penetration," said Sergey Petrov, chief broadcasting officer, CTC Media, Inc.

Ayder Bekirov, CEO, Evropa-Azia, added: "We have been successfully working with CTC Media since 2012. I am certain that PERETZ will not disappoint Kyrgyz viewers and will give us all a great deal of vividly positive emotions."

PERETZ International began broadcasting in Belarus in 2013. This year the channel will feature new programming and genres, according to CTC Media.

The Russian media company operates three free-to-air television networks in Russia CTC, Domashny and PERETZ as well as Channel 31 in Kazakhstan and a TV company in Moldova, with a combined reach of more than 150 million people.
