Content Television has signed on as the international distributor of new original drama 19-2, the English-language adaptation of the French-Canadian series of the same name.

Commissioned and produced for Canada's Bravo, Content Television will handle international rights across all platforms for the show which is scheduled for a prime time premiere on Bravo Canada on Wednesday 29 January, with CTV supporting the series with a broadcast debut the following day.

The one-hour drama series is co-produced for Bell Media by Montréal's Sphère Média Plus and Echo Media.

Set in Montréal, the series follows the lives of patrol officers Ben Chartier and Nick Barron. Newly partnered amidst the highly-charged environment of Montréal's 19th precinct, the two must attempt to put their differences aside as their lives intertwine both professionally and personally.

"We're excited to introduce this fantastic new original drama series to our international buyers – 19-2's intelligent character-driven storylines offer truly immersive prime time content which we are confident will engage viewers globally," said Greg Phillips, president at Content Television. "Even prior to its debut, 19-2 presents a well-established history of success, with CBC's original French-language version receiving excellent reviews and consistently winning its timeslot in the A25-54 demographic. The launch of this new English-language version on Bravo is already generating huge buzz, and we're looking forward to expanding its success to the international stage."
