Reset TV has reached an agreement with US network Telemundo to develop El Artista (The Artist), a musical talent show targeting the Latin audience.

The format, which was announced at NAPTE, will be broadcast for the 2014/2015 season with the intention of it being sold internationally.

The agreement includes the production of one season of 13 episodes based on Reset's original concept. The Spanish company, founded by Endemol's former directives, will try to find the most complete artist, who is able to dance, sing, act and present a show.

"The audience shows us it's willing to see new music competitions, shows which can be enjoyed by the whole family," said Marcos Santana, Telemundo Internacional's president. "The growing interest, combined with Reset's experience, will allow us to develop a successful format for the US Hispanic market."

Reset TV has also renewed its agreement to distribute its formats through Telemundo's network. Spanish audience hits such as Operación Triunfo (similar to Pop Idol) or Crónicas Marcianas (a late-night talk show) will be now commercialised by Telemundo. "This agreement reinforces our entertainment catalogue and we really think we will change the industry with Reset's formats," added Santana.
