Spanish production company Medina Media has renewed its distribution agreement with Cisneros Media at NAPTE. The deal, originally signed in 2010, targets the international distribution of some of Medina Media's most successful formats.
For three more years, Cisneros Media Distribution, the recently launched platform which replaced Venevision International, will commercialise Medina's new formats including See the World, Flamenko and the documentaries Antonio Banderas: 30 Años de Éxito and Un Viaje al Flamenco del Siglo XXI. All the programmes will be included in the Platinum package which is distributed by Cisneros mostly in the US, Europe and Latin America.
CMD is now taking the place of Venevision International, which offered an audiovisual catalogue of over 30,000 hours of TV programming, commercialised in more than 100 countries and 20 languages. CMD will represent the products of both Venevision International and Venevision, one of the main Venezuela's broadcasters.
Medina Media was founded in 2004 and has produced various formats for Spain's TVE, Antena 3, Neox, Canal Sur and Aragón Televisión. With a focus on news magazines, the company has also produced Web TV applications and offered consultancy services for Spanish networks.
