América Móvil's Claro has added Ecuador to the list of countries in which Clarovideo, its video-on-demand (VOD) streaming platform operates.

From the beginning of February, subscribers in Ecuador will have access to the online audiovisual catalogue from several connected screens.

After launching in some of Latin America's largest countries, Clarovideo is starting to look towards the increasing demand of the so-called secondary markets. The service is currently offered in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and the Dominican Republic.

América Móvil's platform is offering a selection of the most recent blockbusters, launching some of them online only a few weeks after their cinema premiere. With a special focus on children's programming, Clarovideo also offers series, movies and concerts.

The service will be available for Claro subscribers for a monthly price of $7.50, which gives access to the basic catalogue. In addition, the pay-per-view service offers the latest premieres. Clarovideo is available for computers, smart TVs, tablets and smartphones with the latest Android and iOS versions.

"It's a pleasure to keep expanding and offering our customers one of the most innovative services of the entertainment industry in Latin America, which offers VOD contents in Spanish adapted to viewers' preferences," said Francisco Corzo, Claro's commercial director.
