set to hit eight million daily fans in 2014

The Eurosport Group is maintaining its target of interacting with eight million digital fans each day ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, after its pan-European digital sports platform broke the seven million digital fans per day benchmark for the first time in the initial weeks of 2014.

On 19 January, Eurosport reached its best digital performance ever with 7,165,370 visitors (Web and mobile), while on the 26 January, it achieved its best mobile performance ever with 2,603,008 visitors to and its LiveScore apps.

In week four of 2014, received 4,262,961 daily Web visitors on average, its best weekly Web performance since March 2013.

In January the most popular stories on were the Australian Open, the European Handball Championship, football matches in the major European Leagues and winter sports.

While kicking off its 25th anniversary year, the group says it has more scope to grow its audience on mobile devices this year.
