ONO posts record-breaking Q4 2013

Explaining perhaps why the leading Spanish cable company is the object of a tug of war between Liberty Global and Vodafone, ONO has closed 2013 with robust operational performance.

The cableco closed the year with a total of 5,234,000 services, adding 31,000 new high-speed broadband clients in the quarter to reach a total of 811,000.

In the TV sector, the company which has been a pioneer of TiVo-based services in Europe has and has had exclusive rights to ice the advanced PVR product in Spain by Ono, reached more than 323,000 active users, with growth of 65,000 customers in the last quarter.

Commenting on the company’s strong quarter, Rosalia Portela, CEO of Ono, said: “We are delighted with this positive trend in our operating data, reaching record numbers in the last quarter of the year.
