Canal+ will release the preview of Games of Thrones season four just a few hours after its worldwide premiere in the US.

The pay-TV network is banking on the HBO production to draw viewers to its recently launched premium series channel, Canal+Series.

The Spanish network will premiere the much anticipated preview through its online video-on-demand (VOD) platform Yomvi, as well as its premium channel. Viewers will be able to watch and download the 15-minutes episode which presents the new season, premiering in April.

Prisa's pay-TV platform has prepared a huge advertising campaign around Game of Thrones, which is one of the stars of the Canal+Series schedule. The network will also air season four just one day after its US premiere on HBO, showing the original version with subtitles to bring the American production to Spanish screens as quickly as possible and releasing the Spanish-language version at a later date.

The leading Spanish pay-TV platform, which has nearly two million subscribers, has been the exclusive broadcaster of Game of Thrones since the series began. The show has also been aired on Spanish DTT by Atresmedia's channels Antena 3 and laSexta, but not until almost a year after the US premiere.
