SMiT finds Macedonian partner

BoomTV MacedoniaThe Macedonian digital TV service BoomTV is working with SMiT Corporation to deploy a Viaccess-Orca CAM for its subscribers.
Commenting on the development, Saso Srbakov, product & innovation manager, ONE Telecommunication Macedonia, said:
“We are very happy to cooperate with SMiT. They were very efficient and flexible and helped us launch a new product (DVB-T CAM Module) into our market.
“In the future we will extend our partnership with SMiT to other types of products that will help us keep our position in the market as an innovative company.”
Bingyu Xiang, product development chief inspector & manager, SMiT, added: “With sharing the one remote controller of TV or STB, SMiT CAM gives a simple way to enjoy BoomTV Pay TV services. It is a great move to become the CAM provider of BoomTV, and we will keep bringing the latest technology to BoomTV’s subscribers.”
BoomTV is the brand name of ONE Telecommunication Skopje, itself part of Telekom Slovenije Group.
It covers 92% of the population in Macedonia and as of Q3 last year BoomTV and mini BoomTV had a total of 57,719 subscribers.
