Media Networks, Moviecity bring Tadeo Jones to LATAM

The Spanish animated movie Tadeo, El Explorador Perdido, co-produced by Telefónica's Media Networks and El Toro Producciones, will be distributed in Latin America from next week through Moviecity, the region's pay-TV film channel.

The film, which has been a great success with audiences around the world, will be broadcast in 17 Latin American countries in which Moviecity is available. "After its cinema success, we are sure the Latin audience will want to see this movie, which will be available on different dates until the end of the month," explained Fernando Espinoza, ad sales and distribution director for Media Networks.

Tadeo, El Explorador Perdido is about a builder who gets mistaken for an archaeologist and travels around Peru to carry out research on the Incas. The movie, which includes animated scenes of Cusco, Machu Pichu and Nazca, will be available in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The film has already been watched by over four million viewers in Latin American cinemas and has become the most successful Spanish animated production ever, being awarded three Goyas in 2013.
