75,000 Horizon customers in Germany

German cable operator Unitymedia Kabel BW gained more than 75,000 customers for its multimedia platform Horizon by the first week of February 2014.
This corresponds with a growth of more than 50,000 customers since 31 October 2013, the subsidiary of US media company Liberty Global has announced.
More than half of Horizon's customers have opted for the premium triple-play package containing 150Mbps Internet access, flat-rate telephony and HD television with recording function.
From January until December 2013, Unitymedia Kabel BW recorded a total of 558,000 new contracts for its Internet, telephony and cable TV products – up 5% compared with 2012.
In Q4 2013, Unitymedia Kabel BW gained 89,000 new Internet and 73,000 new telephony contracts. The company now has a total of 2.6 million broadband and 2.5 million telephony customers.
