Marcel Nijhoff, CCO, Ziggo, will step down as of March 1. He will be replaced by Hendrik de Groot.

With effect of April 18, 2014, Hendrik de Groot, currently managing director of business-to-business at Ziggo, is appointed as new CCO and member of the management board of Ziggo.

His knowledge and expertise contributed significantly, especially at the introduction of Ziggo in 2008 as a result of the merger of three local cable companies. On behalf of all members of the Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Marcel Nijhoff for his valuable contributions during his tenure.”

René Obermann, CEO of Ziggo said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Hendrik de Groot in his new role. Ziggo will benefit greatly from his proven track record of business success and leadership.”

Before he joined Ziggo, he served as group director voice products at Colt Telecommunications since 2006 and head global accounts at Vodafone Group since 2003.
