Technology group Kudelski has posted annual revenues for 2013 reaching CHF857.8 million ($963.3 million), stable compared to 2012 (down 0.3%).

Operating income increased from CHF35.7 million in 2012 to CHF60.2 million ($40 million) in 2013, reflecting the benefits of an optimised product portfolio in integrated Digital TV (iDTV).

The Americas iDTV business posted a revenue increase of 2.4%, reaching CHF248.5 million ($279 million) in 2013. The Americas provided the largest revenue contribution of all regions to this segment, driven by the strong performance in the US (up 13%) and the extension of the group footprint in South America. Latin American telcos such as American Movil in Central America, Entel Chile and CNT continued to expand their triple-play offering by adding pay-TV subscribers using NAGRA technologies.

Telefonica also continued to grow its DTH subscribers in the region with new NAGRA products in Chile, Colombia and Venezuela.

The group improved net profits in 2013 by CHF28.2 million ($31.67 million) over the previous year, posting a net income of CHF43.4 million ($48.7 million).

In 2013, Kudelski Group generated CHF120.9 million ($135 million) from operating activities, compared to CHF110.5 million in 2012.

Over 2013, the group has won 15 new iDTV clients worldwide, including Vodafone which has selected an end-to-end OTT solution from Nagra for a launch of a hybrid Internet-terrestrial service in Spain.
Kudelski is also securing 39 new projects with 32 operators.

The Group has extended its footprint in its areas of core expertise, protecting the digital TV ecosystem, but its cybersecurity solutions also allow operators to further extend asset security beyond their own delivery networks.
