VOD365 teams with smartclip as exclusive partner across smart TV, on-demand services

Multiscreen and brand advertising platform smartclip has announced an exclusive advertising partnership with video-on demand provider VOD365.
The latter’s multiscreen Planet Knowledge VOD service hosts and showcases documentaries and educational content across six categories; history, nature, people and culture, planet kids, science and technology and travel.
Planet Knowledge recently launched on Samsung smart TV’s, Android tablets and smartphones and its distribution model includes delivery of services via the Freeview DTT platform in the UK. It is claimed to be the first channel to provide content of this nature at no cost to the viewer across multiple connected devices. It is set to expand in the summer with a launch throughout Europe. In addition to this, it will occupy a dedicated channel number on Freeview.
Under the terms of the deal, smartclip will be responsible for advertising placements across the Planet Knowledge channel and app, integrating and streaming adverts into Planet Knowledge content across all platforms.
