Zee's Ten Sports has sealed an international cross platform deal to broadcast Sri Lanka's international cricket matches until March 2020.
Content – in English, Hindi and other regional languages – will be distributed by Ten Sports on behalf of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) in over 100 countries via its international affiliates and other broadcasters.
"We will work closely with the Sri Lanka Cricket Board and invest in production and marketing to ensure that Sri Lanka cricket reaches its full potential. As we have done with other rights, we will aim to innovate and create an exciting visual spectacle for international viewers," said Rajesh Sethi, CEO, Ten Sports.
Ten Sports already holds the broadcast rights for the cricket boards of South Africa, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and the West Indies. It also broadcasts a range of sporting events including WWE, UEFA Champions League, French League 1, US Open Tennis, ATP, WTA, Capital One Cup, European Tour, and Asian Tour Golf. Both the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games will also be aired on Ten in 2014.
