A new television series featuring Australian wildlife expert Tim Faulkner has been acquired by Thai Pay TV Channel, True Visions.
The Wild Life of Tim Faulkner is a 10x30' series produced by Australian production company Ziggy Entertainment (a WTFN subsidiary) and distributed by Fred Media.
Faulkner is the operations manager at the Australian Reptile Park and is a conservationist and leader in the battle to save the Tasmanian devil from extinction.
Fred Media general manager, Michael Aldrich, said: “It’s an exciting time for us. Tim has appeared in a number of our shows as a wildlife expert and the feedback from audiences has always been fantastic.
“It was only a matter of time before we found the right series for him and we are encouraged by the positive response we have had from broadcasters so far.”
True Visions director of programme acquisitions, Arthit Promprasit, said: “We have known about Tim for some time and think his new series will appeal to our audience. We look forward to building his name across our networks.”
The Wild Life of Tim Faulkner will premiere on True Vision’s True Explore channel in mid-2014.
The programme is currently broadcast in over 120 territories on networks including Animal Planet Europe, TVB Hong Kong, Discovery India and Nine Network.
Series two is in production and is set to be released in October 2014.
